Happy Spring Equinox/ Season!How has 2022 been for you? It’s been a learning and humbling experience for me so far, but also beautiful. We finally got some snow in Joshua Tree. Let me know, and I’ll see what I can do:) I had more energy than ever in January and February, and I was hiking just about everyday with Cowboy. Good, right? Well, the problem was that I had so much energy, I wasn’t sleeping. I was Twired (tired + wired) all of the time, which meant I was in a sympathetic (fight-or-flight) state. Not good. So, we tried an NAD infusion, and the good news is wiped me out enough to start sleeping again, but put me into a Lyme/ POTS flare-up. This doesn’t usually happen, but I have a genetic predisposition that can cause this. Womp. I am thankfully slowly but surely coming out of it. This flare-up has made me realize I was doing a little too much, so I’ve had to take a hard look at what I can remove from my plate. Striking a balance will forever be a learning experience. Due to the flare-up, I was only able to attend Expo West for two hours, instead of the two full days I had planned. But those two hours were amazing! I got to see some of my favorite GF + plant-based brands. It’s like if Costco only was made up of sample stations you could safely eat at, x10. Head to my Instagram for the Reel I created about it. Speaking of Lyme… Lyme awareness month is just around the corner, and I have selected the San Diego Lyme Alliance (an offshoot of Bay Area Lyme Foundation) as our charitable recipient for this season. I have the pleasure of both being a board member and facilitating monthly support groups for them. They are hosting a Lyme walk on Saturday, April 9th in Mission Bay, San Diego from 10AM-1PM. It’a a free event, as is our monthly empowerment circle (third Tuesday of every month). I also have a new interview you can check out, and a giveaway. All down below! As for traveling, I just got back to Joshua Tree from Borrego Springs, a cute quaint town (below sea level) in east San Diego County. They have their own version of the Grand Canyon, as you can see in the photo. I’m hoping for another visit soon, before I create a guide for y’all. Oh, I also updated the shop! Finally.
